Kupwara 10 Nov (KNB): Two bright students of a far flung border village of Kamkari in the Machhal Sector of Kupwara District of the Kashmir Valley are on the verge of realizing their dreams of pursuing studies at the Army Public School, Beas in Punjab.
In a statement issued to news gathering agency KNB, Master Shoaib and Master Shahid of Class 8th and 9th respectively have been selected to pursue their studies at the Army Public School. Their father, a farmer by profession has made tremendous sacrifices to ensure a better future for his children.
Both of them, beneficiaries of the Indian Army’s initiative to select prospective candidates for higher studies, secured 85% in the previous academic year. The Indian Army in close coordination with the local School administration undertook a deliberate process for selection of the candidates and it is to the credit of the local army unit which is helping both Shoaib and Shahid realize their dreams.
Today, as they left for their new abode, the whole village came to shower their blessings on the two brothers, who could be trend setters and pioneers in emerging as a role model for rest of the students fraternity in this small village.(KNB)
