Indian Army, Borderless World Foundation Organises Two Day Medical Camp in Villages of Machhal Sector

Kupwara 16 May(KNB): Indian Army in collaboration with Borderless World Foundation organised Organised two day Medical Camp on 14 & 15 May for the villagers of Machhal Sector at Sahi Memorial Hospital Machhal, Govt Higher School Machhal and Govt School Dapbal.

 

In a statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB that thirteen doctors from Nashik, Maharashtra under the umbrella of Borderless World Foundation were part of this Medical camp. The team of doctors comprising of General physicians, Medical specialist, ENT specialist, Orthopaedician, Paediatrician, Gynaecologist and Dentist attended to more than 400 people including children. Free medicines were distributed to the patients and a class was also conducted on nutrition deficiency in children and women at schools of Machhal and Dapbal. People were also educated on hypertension related issues and vitamin deficiency.

In the evening, the team of doctors were instrumental in saving life of a lady who suffered heart attack at Thalli village. She was immediately rushed to Sahi Memorial Hospital, where this team of doctors resuscitated and saved her life.

Such camps will go a long way in building a healthy Kashmir, statement added.(KNB)
