Srinagar 22 December (KNB): India has reported 6,317 new cases of Covid19, with 318 covid19 fatalities during the last 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As per the ministry, a total of 3,42,01,966 covid19 patients have recovered so far in the country and 6,906 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours across India.
“The active caseload of the country currently stands at 78,190, which constitutes 0.22 percent of the total cases, lowest since March 2020,” said the MoHFW.
It further said that the daily positivity rate at present is 0.51 percent, a figure less than two percent for the last 79 days. “Weekly Positivity Rate remains 0.58 percent, which is less than one percent for the last 38 days,” it added.
The ministry further said that 138.96 Cr. vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive and 66.74 Cr. total tests have been conducted so far throughout the country.
However, till now the country has reported 213 omicron cases with 90 patients said to have been discharged/recovered. As per MoHFW, more number of omicron cases, 57, were reported in Delhi and 54 cases in Maharashtra. (KNB)
