Srinagar 17 June (KNB): India reported 67,208 daily new novel coronavirus infections and 2,330 deaths due the deadly virus in last 24 hours, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Thursday.
As per the data updated at 8 Am, the total Covid-19 cases across the country now stands at 2,97,00,313 and the total fatalities due the virus has climbed to 3,81,903.
The Health Ministry said that India’s Active Caseload has declined to 8,26,740, which is the lowest after 71 days.
There have been 2,84,91,670 total recoveries across the country so far. 1,03,570 patients recovered during the last 24 hours, they said.
As per the Health Ministry, daily recoveries has continued to outnumber the daily new cases for the 35th consecutive day and the recovery rate has increased to 95.93 per cent.
Moreover, the weekly positivity rate remains below 5 per cent and currently is at 3.99 per cent. The daily positivity rate is at 3.48 per cent which stands less than 5 per cent for 10 consecutive days.
The Ministry of Health said that the testing capacity has substantially ramped up and 38.52 crore total tests have been conducted across the nation.
“26.55 Crore Vaccine Doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive,” they added. (KNB)
