Srinagar 24 June (KNB): India reported 54,069 daily new novel coronavirus cases, taking the total case load across the country to 30,082, 778.
As per the morning update of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Thursday, 1,321 fatalities due to the Covid-19 were reported in India in last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 3,91,981.
The country’s active caseload has declined to 6,27,057, MoHFW said, adding that there has been 2,90,63,740 total recoveries across the country so far, out of which 68,885 patients recovered during last 24 hours.
As per the Health Ministry, daily recoveries continue to outnumber the Daily New Cases for the 42nd consecutive day. The recovery rate has increased to 96.61 per cent.
Moreover, weekly positivity rate remains below 5 percent and currently stands at 3.04 per cent, MoHFW said, adding that the daily positivity rate stands at 2.91 per cent which is less than 5 per cent for 17 consecutive days.
The Health Ministry also said that the testing capacity has substantially ramped up and total of 39.78 crore tests have been conducted so far. (KNB)
