Srinagar 27 August (KNB): India reported 44,658 new novel coronavirus cases and 496 deaths due to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours, according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As per the morning update by the Health Ministry, India’s active caseload stands at 3,44,899 and the active cases account for 1.06 per cent of the total cases.
The recovery rate currently stands at 97.60 per cent and there has been 32,988 recoveries in the last 24 hours, which has increased the total recoveries to 3,18,21,428 in the country.
The MoHFW said that the weekly positivity rate stands at 2.10 per cent, which is less than 3 per cent for the last 63 days and the daily positivity rate stands at 2.45 per cent, which is less than 3 per cent for the last 32 days.
Moreover, the Health Ministry informed that 61.22 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive and a total of 51.49 crore tests have been conducted so far across the nation. (KNB)
