Srinagar 29 July (KNB): India reported 43,509 new novel coronavirus cases and 640 deaths due to the infection in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 422662 in the country, data from Ministry and Health Family Welfare said on Thursday.
As per the morning update by the Health Ministry, there have been 3,07,01,612 total recoveries across the country so far and the recovery rate currently stands at 97.38 per cent.
They stated that 38,465 patients have recovered during last 24 hours in the country.
The Health Ministry said that India’s active caseload currently stands at 4,03,840 and active cases constitute 1.28 per cent of total cases.
They further said that the weekly positivity rate remains below 5 per cent and currently at stands at 2.38 per cent, where as the daily positivity rate stands at 2.52 per cent and remains below 5 per cent.
The Health Ministry also informed that the testing capacity has been substantially ramped up and a total of 46.26 crore tests have been conducted.
Moreover, MoHFW also said that India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage crossed the landmark of 45 Cr yesterday. Cumulatively, 45,07,06,257vaccine doses have been administered through 54,11,501 sessions, as per the provisional report till 8 am today. 43,92,697vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.(KNB)
