Srinagar 5 August (KNB): India reported 42,982 new novel coronavirus cases and 533 death in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Thursday.
According to the morning update by the Health Ministry, 41,726 patients have recovered during the last 24 hours and the recovery rate currently stands at 97.37 per cent. So far, a total of 3,09,74,748 recoveries have taken place across the country.
The Health Ministry said that India’s active caseload currently stands at 4,11,076 and the active cases constitute 1.29 per cent of total cases. The weekly positivity rate remains below 5 per cent and currently stands at 2.37 per cent.
As per MoHFW, the daily positivity rate stands at 2.58 per cent which is less than 3 per cent for the last 10 days.
Moreover, the health Ministry informed that 48.93 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive. The testing capacity has also been substantially ramped up and a total of 47.48 crore tests have been conducted so far across the country. (KNB)
