Srinagar 21 August (KNB): India reported 34,457 novel coronavirus cases and 375 people died due to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours, according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As per the morning update by the Health Ministry, India’s active caseload stands at 3,61,340 which is the lowest in 151 days and active cases account for 1.12 per cent of total cases which is the lowest since March 2020.
The health ministry said that there have been 36,347 recoveries in the last 24 hours which has increased the total recoveries to 3,15,97,982 in the country and the recovery rate has increased to 97.54 per cent, which is the highest since March 2020.
As per the MoHFW, the daily positivity rate stands at 2.00 per cent, which is less than 3 per cent for the last 26 days and the weekly positivity rate stands at 1.98 per cent which is less than 3 per cent for the last 57 days.
The Health Ministry also informed that 57.61 Cr. vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive and a total of 50.45 crore tests have been conducted across the country so far. (KNB)
