Srinagar 23 September (KNB): India reported 31,923 new novel coronavirus cases and 282 deaths due to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours, according to the data by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
After the latest update, country’s total Covid-19 cases has reached 3,35,63,421 and total fatalities has increased to 4,46,050.
The Health Ministry said that India’s active caseload stands at 3,01,640, which is the lowest in 187 days and the active cases account for less than 1 per cent of total cases, which currently stands at 0.90 per cent and remains lowest since March 2020.
There have been 31,990 recoveries in the last 24 hours, which has increased the total recoveries in the country so far to 3,28,15,731, as per the MoHFW.
The recovery rate currently stands at 97.77 per cent, which is highest since March 2020.
The Health Ministry said that daily positivity rate stands at 2.09 per cent, which remains less than 3 per cent for the last 24 days and the weekly positivity rate stands at 2.11 per cent, which remains less than 3 per cent for last 90 days.
The MoHFW informed that 83.39 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive and a total of 55.83 crore tests have been conducted so far. (KNB)
