Srinagar 22 September (KNB): India reported 26,964 new novel coronavirus cases and 383 deaths due to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours, according to the data by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As per the morning update by the Health Ministry, with the recovery of 34,167 patients in the last 24 hours, the cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic has increased to 3,27,83,741.
“Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 97.77 per cent and the recovery rate is currently at its highest peak since March 2020,” the ministry said.
The MoHFW said that active caseload is presently 3,01,989 and the active cases presently constitute 0.90 per cent of the country’s total positive cases, which is the lowest figure in active cases in India since March 2020.
15,92,395 Covid tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours across the nation and over 55.67 Cr (55,67,54,282) cumulative tests have been conducted so far in India, according to the latest update.
Moreover, while testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, the Health Ministry said that the weekly positivity rate stands at 2.08 per cent, which remains less than 3 per cent for the last 89 days now and the daily positivity rate reported to be 1.69 per cent and remains below 3 per cent for the last 23 days and below 5 per cent for 106 consecutive days now.
