Srinagar 24 August (KNB): India reported 25,467 new novel coronavirus cases and 354 deaths due to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours, taking the total fatalities in the country to 435110, according the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As per the morning update by the Health Ministry, India’s active caseload stands at 3,19,551 which is the lowest in 156 days and the active cases account for less than 1 per cent of total cases which currently stands at 0.98 per cent and has been the lowest since March 2020.
There have been 39,486 recoveries in the last 24 hours, which has increases the total Recoveries to 3,17,20,112 across the nation, the Health Ministry said, adding that the recovery rate has increased to 97.68 per cent, which is the highest since March 2020.
Daily positivity rate stands at 1.55 per cent, which remains less than 3 per cent for the last 29 days and the weekly positivity rate stands at 1.90 per cent, which remains less than 3 per cent for the last 60 days, as per the MoHFW.
Moreover, the Health Ministry informed that 58.89 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive and a total of 50.93 crore tests have been conducted so far. (KNB)
