10,050 Omicron cases detected so far in the country; active Covid cases stand at over 21 lakhs

Srinagar 22 January (KNB): India has reported 3,37,704 new cases of Covid19, with covid19 488 fatalities during the last 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As per the ministry, a total of 3,63,01,482 covid19 patients have recovered so far in the country and 2,42,676 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours across India.
“The active caseload of the country currently stands at 21,13,365,” said the MoHFW.
It further said that the daily positivity rate at present is 17.22 percent and weekly positivity rate remains at 16.65 percent.
The ministry further said that 161.16 Cr. vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive and 71.34 Cr. total tests have been conducted so far throughout the country.
It was also said that a total of 10,050 Omicron cases have been detected so far in the country with an increase of 3.69% since yesterday. (KNB)
