Srinagar 11 January (KNB): India has reported 1,68,063 new cases of Covid19, with 277 covid19 fatalities during the last 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As per the ministry, a total of 3,45,70,131 covid19 patients have recovered so far in the country and 69,959 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours across India.
“The active caseload of the country currently stands at 8,21,446, which constitutes 2.29 percent of the total cases,” said the MoHFW.
It further said that the daily positivity rate at present is 10.64 percent and weekly positivity rate remains at 8.85 percent.
The ministry further said that 152.89 Cr. vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive and 69.31 Cr. total tests have been conducted so far throughout the country.
However, till now the country has reported 4,461 omicron cases with 1,711 patients said to have been discharged/recovered. As per MoHFW, the highest number of omicron cases are in Maharashtra and Rajasthan at 1,247 and 645 respectively. (KNB)
