Srinagar 24 May (KNB): During a 27th Group of Ministers meeting on Monday regarding Covid19, Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan said that 5,424 cases of Black Fungus have been reported from 18 States/Union Territories of India till now.
During the meeting, Dr Vardhan gave an overview of the present condition of Covid19 in the country. He said that the country had over 4 lakh cases of Covid19 in the first week of this month for at least four, five days in a row. “Today is the eight day of succession when we are having less than three lakh cases (of Covid19),” said Dr Harsh Vardhan during the meeting as per Kashmir News Bureau.
He further said that in the last 24 hours the country has seen 2,22,315 new cases of Covid19 in the country. “Right now our active cases in the country are 27,20,716. Whereas the country had a couple of days back over 37 lakh active cases,” said Dr Vardhan.
However, as per Dr Vardhan J&K is among 16 States/UTs in the country having high Covid positivity rate. (KNB)
