Srinagar, 09 November (KNB): In an interactive meeting held today, IGP Kashmir, V. K Birdi, emphasized the importance of addressing law and order issues and security challenges in the valley.
According to the statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB said, The meeting included discussions with DIG ranges and District SP’s, where the district and range heads were directed to prioritize quality investigations in terror-related crimes and narco-terrorism to dismantle the terror ecosystem.
IGP Birdi highlighted the need for overall improvement in policing at the Police Station and sub-divisional levels, emphasizing refined record building and investigation processes. The officers were urged to establish strong public relations and focus on people-sensitive policing.
Addressing public grievances was underscored as a top priority for the valley Police, alongside their operational and crime-related commitments.
Transparent and efficient policing, along with coordination with sister agencies in the valley, was emphasized by IGP Kashmir as crucial in maintaining security.- KNB
