Srinagar 24 January (KNB): Ahead of the Republic Day function, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar Monday said they would make sure that all functions related to Republic Day on 26th January in Srinagar and at other district headquarters culminate peacefully.
As the security measures have been tightened in the run-up to Republic Day, IGP-K Vijay Kumar on the sidelines of the full-dress rehearsal held at Sher-I-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, Srinagar assured of the culmination of 26th January functions peacefully in the summer capital and at other district headquarters.
He also said that all the security arrangements have been put in place with sensitive areas taken care of.
On the occasion, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir P K Pole after inspecting the things in relation to the 26th January function at SK Stadium said that arrangements are ready.
He further added that the Republic Day function would be held in accordance with the Covid19 SOPs. (KNB)
