Anantnag,November 20(KNB): Tehreek-e-Hurriyat district president Hafizullah Mir in south Kashmirs Anantanag district was shot dead by some unidentified gunmen on Tuesday morning.
Mir Hafizullah was a top leader of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat led by Syed Ali Geelani.He spearheaded the agitation in south Kashmir in 2016.
As per the reports he was fired upon at his residence at Akingam in Anantnag this morning by some un identified gunmen.
He was rushed to district hospital Anantnag where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Important to mention here that Mir was released from jail last month after serving two-year detention.(KNB)
