Udhampur 28 May (KNB): Hours long fire incident on Friday turned a chemical factory to ashes in Battle Ballian industrial area of district Udhampur.
Officials said the furious flames broke out at the factory of Dhanuka Agritech Limited during the early morning hours today.
As per the officials, several fire tenders took to the spot but were not successful in controlling the massive flames, which went out of control. Afterwards the Air Force from Northern Command Headquarters was called in, as well as fire tenders from defence forces also joined the operation to douse the flames.
Officials said that the teams were successful in dousing the massive fire almost after four hours and no loss of life in the incident was reported.
Moreover, as the factory has been reduced to rubble in the incident, officials have already initiated investigation and are trying to ascertain the reason which led to the fire to take place. (KNB)
