Restore statehood, hold early assembly election in J&K: JKPCC President Vikar Rasool Wani urges
Kokernag March 18(KNB):. All India Congress Committee (AICC) J&K Incharge and MP Rajni Patil Saturday stated that ongoing Nationwide Haath Se Haath Jodo Programme was launched to connect with the people at grass roots across the country and make the Modi Govt accountable and answerable to people for failing them on all counts.
Patil also hit out at the Central Govt for the alienation among the people reiterating that democratic rights must be restored in J&K, without any further loss of time.
AICC Incharge was in Larnoo (Kokernag) in Anantnag District of South Kashmir to participate in Haath Se Haath Jodo Programme.
JKPCC President Vikar Rasool Wani and AICC Coordinator Bharatsinh led the party’s significant movement ‘Haah Se Haath Jodo’ and also addressed a largely attended gathering of people, who had come to participate in the programme despite the inclement weather conditions over there.
AICC Joint Secretary Manoj Yadav also participated in the programme.
Speaking on the occasion AICC Incharge Rajni Patil asserted that Congress Party shall continue to launch mass contact programmes to reach out to people in every block and at village level and seek their support for their betterment and redressal of multiple issues concerning them, which are being ignored by the Govt thereby exhibiting its failure on all counts.
People are feeling suffocated and harassed under the ruling dispensation at Centre which is fully responsible for the unprecedented economic crisis, price rise, unemployment, lack of development at grass roots, Patil added and said Govt is making false tall claims in Parliament with regard to development, security, empowerment of women, economy etc and termed these as misleading and fabricated stories to hide failures.
Referring to the J&K Situation, Patil said people are feeling alienated due to the BJPs certain misadventures and decisions such as undemocratic downgrading of State and snatching rights of people especially abandoning them of their democratic rights. Same is the case with other States where the BJP has set a trend to frighten opposition by using ED, CBI and other central agencies to silence opponents on one pretext or the other, but the day is not far, when it (BJP) will be responded heavily for what it has done to democratic system of India.
Addressing the gathering, JKPCC President Vikar Rasool Wani said people believe it is the Congress Party alone which is capable of defeating divisive politics of BJP RSS and also believe in the Party’s policies and programmes.
Given the BJPs misleading and divisive policies, people have resolved to defeat the BJP as and when the elections are held in J&K which is forcing Modi Govt to keep J&K away from elections, Wani added and said J&K is the worst hit on every count leading to the alienation among the people.
Wani urged the people to fully support Congress as it is the congress alone which is fighting for their rights and justice and shall never make compromises on people’s genuine demands and needs. JKPCC President strongly urged the Modi Govt to restore Statehood and hold early assembly elections in J&K.
