Gupkaris Cannot Reconcile to Naya Kashmir- Not Hoax But Reality: Brig Anil Gupta

Srinagar 05 August (KNB): Brigadier Anil Gupta Spokesperson of BJP on Thursday said that Naya Kashmir is not a hoax but a reality, which Gupkaris cannot reconcile to.

Gupta in a statement said that Naya Kashmir is not a hoax but a reality. However, it is very different from the idea of Kashmir nurtured by the Gupkaris for more than seven decades. In their visualisation Kashmir is their fiefdom (sultanat) where only they own the exclusive rights to prosperity including their children who lead safe and cozy lives in foreign lands while a common Kashmiri continues to struggle for both ends to meet and live under the perpetual threat of the gun. It is difficult for the kingmakers of the past to come to terms with Naya Kashmir where the center of power has shifted from Gupkar Road to villages, blocks and districts. How can they accept the change in which Advocate Sajra Qadir of Gulabgarh is Vice Chairperson of DDC Reasi and 23-year-old Minha Lateef of BJP from Pulwama is the youngest DDC councilor?

He further said that in their idea of Kashmir, the youth is to carry guns and kill innocent fellow Kashmiris at the behest of their akas sitting across the border so that it remains perpetually in turmoil and a melting pot. “How can they reconcile to a Naya Kashmir where Kashmiris have shunned violence, accepted “Ek Vidhan and Ek Nishan” and where 50,000 youth are beneficiaries of Mission Youth? Mission Youth is a visionary scheme launched by the Modi government with an aim to engage the youngsters of the UT from developing their skills to training them from starting their own ventures. The five to six major parameters covered under the Mission Youth are; Skill Development, Sports wherein 20000 youth will be engaged and trained in various sports to become professionals, Free Coaching for different competitive exams, Counselling Centers, Scholarships for girl students to pursue higher studies, Self-Employment in collaboration with J&K Bank,” reads the statement.

“How can the Gupkaris reconcile to Naya Kashmir where violence is on the ebb and peace is fast returning which is visible with smiles on the faces of common man because tourist footfall has increased manifold. Bollywood has made a beeline towards the Valley and scenic areas of Jammu. Night flight has started from Jammu. The employee’s DA has been raised from 17% to 28%, said Gupta in a statement.

He further added that “How can they reconcile to Naya Kashmir where the noose has been tightened against the terror sympathisers and stone pelters? Those government servants who were part of the militant support network have been dismissed from government service including the sons of international militant and chief of Hizbul Mujahideen. How can they reconcile to Kashmir where the writ of the separatists no longer runs?  The hartal calendars and unending bandhs, which brought misery to the common Kashmiris who were deprived of their daily bread and butter, are a thing of the past in Naya Kashmir, asserted Brig Gupta.”

Gupta said in his statement that Gupkaris are unwilling to accept Naya Kashmir where the children rather than pelting stones participate in hundreds in Junoon- e- Hunar organized by the Indian Army just a week back as part of Swarnim Vijay Varsh celebrations. The participants enthralled the audience with their cultural dances, folk music and solo performances stated Brig Gupta.

“This is the time for all those who are real stakeholders and well-wishers of the ordinary citizens of Jammu & Kashmir to give up reliving the past  and embrace the idea of Naya Jammu & Kashmir and march towards a bright future,” urged Brig Gupta. (KNB)
