Pulwama 27 April(KNB): Encounter broke out on Wednesday between militants and security forces in Mitrigam area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
According to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB, on a specific information about the presence of militants in the area, security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Mitrigam area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama.
“The search operation turned into an encounter after the militants fired upon the forces, who retaliated,” Officials said.
The exchange of fire is going on and further details are awaited, he said.(KNB)
