Srinagar 25 October (KNB): The Grand Mufti of Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti Nasirul Islam expressed his deep sorrow and grief over the death of chairman, J&K Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen and the leader of Hurriyat Conference, Molvi Muhammad Abbas Ansari.
In a statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB said that while presiding over a condolence meeting on behalf of the Muslim Personal Law Board, Grand Mufti said that the deceased was an eminent scholar and advocate of unity among Muslims.Grand Mufti said
“With the death of the deceased, one of the most important chapters in the history of Kashmir came to an end. Religiously, the deceased’s services will always be remembered.”statement added
Mufti Nasir ul Islam expresses heartfelt condolence and sympathy with the family of the deceased and said that “with the deceased, late Mufti Bashiruddin Mufti Azam of Jammu and Kashmir (Tayyabullah Shah) ) had a personal ceremony. Both of them endured the hardships of imprisonment together in the holy month.” statement further added
