Srinagar 28 July (KNB): Jammu and Kashmir Government on Wednesday ordered the constitution of a committee for clearing fresh construction proposals before they are placed before the competent authorities for accord of administrative approval.
As per the order, the committee constitutes of seven members which include Principal Secretary to the Government, Housing & Urban Development Department; Principal Secretary to the Government, Power Development Department; Principal Secretary to the Government, Public Works(R&B) Department; Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Jal Shakti Department; Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Estates Department; Administrative Secretary, Planning, Development & Monitoring Department and Director General, Planning in the Planning, Development & Monitoring Department to be nominated by Administrative Secretary as Member Secretary.
Under signed by the Commissioner/Secretary to the Government Manoj Kumar Dwivedi-IAS, the order said that the Committee shall scrutinise the requirement of the proposed projects having regard to the existing un-utilised infrastructure in the Union territory so as to ensure optimum utilisation of existing Government infrastructure.
