Govt Employees, Pensioners to be Paid DA on Revised Rates: Order   

Srinagar 02 August (KNB): Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday said that they have allowed public employees working in regular pay levels under 7th Pay Commission to be paid a revised rate of dearness allowance of 28% of basic pay per month. 

As per the order, the existing DA per month of basic pay used to be 17% and has now increased to 28% which would be effective from 1-7-2021.

The order reads that “In continuation to the government order no 456-F of 2019 dated 24-10-19, it is hereby ordered that government employees working in regular pay levels under 7th Pay Commission recommendations, shall be paid dearness allowance as given: Existing rate of DA per month 17% of basic pay/ Revised rate of DA per month 28% of basic pay with effect from 1-7-2021.” 

It further reads that the increase subsumes the additional instalments arising on 1-1-2020, 1-7-20 and 1-1-21. Dearness allowance for the period from 1-1-20 to 30-6-21 shall remain at 17%. 

“Consequent upon the implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendation in favour of All India Service officers, serving in connection with the affairs of the UT of J&K, the rate of DA as applicable to Central Government Employees, shall be applicable to such officers,” the order reads.                          

Similarly, the another order read that “It is hereby ordered that Government Pensioners/Family Pensioners shall be allowed Dearness Allowance on Pension/Family Pension as given: the existing rate of DA per month is 17% of basic pension/basic pension family and revised rate of DA per month 28% of basic pension/basic family pension.” (KNB)
