Srinagar, March 17 (KNB): The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, through the Office of the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir has cancelled recent transfer and posting orders in light of the upcoming Lok Sabha 2024 elections.
The decision, outlined in Order No. 623-DIVCOM 2024 dated 16-03-2024, comes following the announcement of elections by the Election Commission of India and the subsequent enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct.
As per the government order, The rescinded orders numbered 621-DIVCOM 2024 dated 15-03-2024 and 622-DIVCOM 2024 dated 16-03-2024, are nullified ab initio, indicating a complete withdrawal of the transfer directives. As a result, officials who may have already commenced duties at their newly designated posts are instructed to revert to their previous places of assignment with immediate effect.- KNB
