Srinagar, March 12 (KNB): Government of Jammu and Kashmir has appointed Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed, IAS, Administrative Secretary of the Health and Medical Education Department, as the acting Director of the Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) in Soura.
This decision comes following the retirement of Prof. (Dr.) Parvez Koul, the former Director of SKIMS, and ex-officio Secretary to the Government.
The official Government Order, No. 816-JK(GAD) of 2024, dated March 12, 2024, states that Dr. Rasheed will take on the responsibilities of the Directorship of SKIMS in addition to his current duties until further notice.
The appointment comes after Prof. Koul’s retirement on superannuation on March 8, 2024.-KNB
