Srinagar 19 March (KNB): On Pakistan Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s recent statement asking both India and Pakistan to bury the past and move forward, Mehbooba Mufti Friday tweeted and called it an opportunity for both neighbouring countries to put aside their hostilities and find an everlasting solution for Kashmir.
Mehbooba in her tweet said that “A good opportunity for India & Pakistan to set aside hostilities & find a long lasting solution vis-a-vis Kashmir.”
She further said that both countries could surpass each other as the duo has substantial military budgets. She suggests in her tweet that both the countries can use the same resources to address their common challenges pertaining to poverty, education and healthcare.
To be precise about the above, Mehbooba tweeted that “Both countries have huge military budgets to outdo each other when the same resources can instead be used on common challenges like poverty, education & healthcare.” (KNB)
