Srinagar 31 May (KNB): Govt Higher Secondary School Delina Monday conducted a webinar on World No Tobacco Day 2021 which was participated by the teachers and students of the institute.
As per school administration the virtual event was attended by Principal HSS Delina, ZEO Singapora Kalan, Headmasters of GHS Delina, Jahama and Kanispora, District Cultural Coordinator Nazir Ahmad and ZRPs. Besides that a good number of teachers and students participated.
The proceedings of the programme was conducted by Lecturer Qazi Syed Sajad. He talked in length on the topic and threw light on socio-political and legal aspects of the tobacco problem.
“A number of students presented their thoughts and suggested measures to curb the menace. Others who spoke on the occasion include Maqsooda Akhtar, Syed Suraya, A.R Bakshi and Nayeem Ahmad,” the statement said.
Among students Seema Khursheed, Abiroo Jaan and Basarat Jaan of HSS Delina bagged First, Second and Third positions respectively. Principal Ab Rashid Ganai in his address thanked all the participants and assured full cooperation to the District Cultural Wing for the celebration of future events at HSS Delina.
He appreciated all the students who participated and the staff members who shared their valuable thoughts, the statement read. (KNB)
