Ganderbal 26 October (KNB): District Police Ganderbal in its efforts to reach out far-flung areas, held a Police Community Partnership Group meet at Chattergul Kangan, Ganderbal.
SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS accompanied with DySP SDPO kangan Shri Yasir Qadri-JKPS and Station House Officer Kangan Inspector Aftab Ahmad chaired the meeting. The meeting was attended by a large number of respectable citizens belongs from Chattergul and other adjacent area of Sub Division Kangan including civil society members of District Ganderbal.
During the meeting various social as well as other issues were raised by the participants some were pertaining to different other Departments viz; dilapidated condition of road Via: Kashnambal to Chattergul Kangan, overcharging by sumo drivers etc.
Among participants many have spoke in the meeting and praised the work of Police especially the efforts of Ganderbal Police during tackling the pandemic COVID-19 when it was in alarming position.
Participants also assured Ganderbal Police that they would always support to bring peace and also maintain crime free/ drug free society.
SSP Ganderbal heard participants patiently and also assured that these grievances will be redressed soon and assured that those grievances pertaining to other Departments will be shared / communicated to the concerned Officers for early redressal.
SSP Ganderbal in his speech said, ” the aim of these Police public meetings are to strengthen relationship between Police and public, to aware people about evil activities occurring around them and share advisories how to come out from such bad things etc.
He also advised participants to remain alert in their respective areas and also seek help to share information of those miscreants whose activities are anti social in so that Police will take action as per law against these miscreants and also advised to maintain communal harmony. (KNB)
