Srinagar 30 June (KNB): Around four persons died and several others injured on Wednesday morning in an accident on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway in district Ramban.
As per an official, the accident took place in the wee hours of morning when a truck carrying non local labourers rolled down near Khooni Nallah.
The deceased in the accident, during the preliminary investigation, have been identified as Narayan Manji s/o Ramesh Manji r/o Chhattisgarh age 21yrs; Dinesh Kumar s/o Baghi Rath r/o Dharasiv Chhattisgarh, age 19yrs; Maghe Lal s/o Amar Singh r/o Dharashiv Chhattisgarh age 17yrs. Among the deceased is said to include a minor from Chhattisgarh also.
However, following the accident security forces and local volunteer group started a rescue operation and the several other injured were later on shifted to nearby hospital.
The police official in this regard said the rescue operation was going on at the spot of the incident. (KNB)
