Srinagar 23 September (KNB): Former J&K Bank chairman, Parvez Ahmad Nengroo, joined Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference on Thursday in presence of all the senior leaders of the party in Srinagar.

JKPC’s President Sajad Lone along with other members of the party welcomed Parvez Ahmad Nengroo in his party-fold.

Lone said that the joining of Nengroo in the JKPC is a very happy moment for them and such technocrats, when they are needed to script an economic dream for the future, enter the field of politics and hopefully put in their efforts to make J&K a much better place to live in.

On the joining of Parvez Nengroo into the JKPC, he said that he has been deeply inspired by Sajad Lone’s sincerity of the thought, by his vision and by his leadership style.

“I have known him (Lone) very closely since long. His deep desire of ushering J&K into a new era of socio-economic development — by his vibrant and innovative approach — is the one which has inspired me,” said Nengroo.

He further said that he has always found Sajad Lone deeply concerned about the dignity and the welfare of the people of J&K. “It is indeed a pleasure for me to join the JKPC under Lone’s able leadership and the guidance of other senior party leadership,” said Nengroo.

“Our collective object will be to see J&K economically prosperous, self-reliant and progressive place. I will use my experience in writing a script for the economic package of the people of J&K in view of the insurmountable economic challenges faced by the J&K, added Nengroo.

He said that J&K is having enormous political and economic challenges and it is time to look for collective and institutional solutions to ensure the socio-economic development of the J&K region. (KNB)
