Srinagar 23 November (KNB): Scores of candidates, who have applied for the Forest Protection Force, on Tuesday protested and demanded for the expedition in the recruitment process.
As per the candidates, they had applied for the post of Forest Protection Force several years ago, but later, the process never reached fruition after being stayed by the court.
However, one of the candidates said that all things were later on cleared regarding the recruitment process but things to expedite it were never pursued by the concerned department and the recruitment board.
“We are now getting overaged and would not be eligible for any post in the offing. Therefore, we had pinned our hopes on the Forest Protection Force post, but the calendars issued a few times in the past pertaining to posts’ tests were continuously postponed for no reason,” said one of the candidates.
Protesting candidates also suspected some connivance between the forest department and the recruitment board as they never completed the recruitment process, they said. (KNB)
