Forces Recover Arms, Ammunition in Budgam

Budgam 3 April (KNB): Government forces on Saturday recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition in a forest of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Officials said that based on credible input in the morning, Budgam Police along with 53 RR launched a search in the forest area of village Shanipora Khan saab Budgam.

“During search, incriminating material of proscribed outfit Lashker-e-Taiba were recovered,” officials added.

Officials said that the arms and ammunition were concealed in a bag beneath the bushes in the forest area.

They recovered, one Chinese Pistol 9 MM, one UBGL, four UBGL Rounds, four Pistol Magazines, three Radio Set Antina, one 9 Volt Battery, three 7.62mm Rounds, ninety eight 9 mm Rounds and one Bonnet Cover.

Furthermore, officials said that a case FIR Number 44/2021 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Khan Saab and investigation has been taken up. (KNB)
