Srinagar 16 March (KNB): A cordon and search operation (CASO) was launched by a joint team of police and forces in Srinagar’s Maiuma, Barbarshah and other adjacent areas on Tuesday afternoon.
A police official told the Kashmir News Bureau that the CASO was launched by a joint team of forces and police in Maisuma, Barbarshah and the adjacent areas like Ghanta Ghar, Abi Guzar and Sheikh Bagh following the inputs about the presence of militants.
He further said that the CASO concluded in Maisuma. However, the searches were being carried in the Abi Guzar and its adjoining parts later on to ensure the area is without the militants’ existence.
Moreover, the searches were later on concluded in the suspected areas. (KNB)
