Bandipora 23 Feb (KNB): Government forces on Saturday evening launched a Cordon-and-Search-Operation (CASO) in Gundpora area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Reports reaching KNB that army’s 14RR, and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir Police launched the joint operation in the Gundpora village of Bandipora District.
They said that massive deployment of forces has been made in the village and house-to-house searches were going on.
An official told KNB that the CASO was launched following “specific” inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
Searches were going on when last reports came.
However, no contact was established with the militants so far. (KNB)
