Forces Kill Four Militants in South Kashmir’s Two Encounters

Srinagar 08 July (KNB): Four militants have been killed by security forces in two separate encounters of South Kashmir’s Puchal area of Pulwama and Zodar area of Kulgam, said police on Thursday. 

As per officials, the two separate encounters started during the last late night in which four militants were killed. However, the identity of the slain militants could not be ascertained by the official immediately after the encounters. 

The encounters were carried out by a joint team of Army, CRPF and Police, which continued throughout the night. On Thursday morning police said quoting IGP Vijay Kumar that 5 militants have been killed in 24 hours in Kashmir

However, IGP also congratulated the Police & Security Forces for conducting operation without collateral damage. 

It is pertinent to mention that the forces killed top commander of HM, which was termed a contemporary of Burhan Wani by the officials, in the North Kashmir Handwara on intervening night of July 6 and 7. (KNB)
