Kulgam 17 Nov(KNB): joint operation conducted by the army, police, and CRPF resulted in the Killing of five militants in the Samno village of Kulgam district.
According to reports reaching to news agency KNB, The operation, spanning through the night, culminated in a fierce exchange of fire between the security forces and militants.
Police official, confirmed that the operation, characterized by its intensity, led to the killing of five militants.
However, the identities of the slain militants are yet to be officially confirmed.
The operation, prompted by specific intelligence inputs regarding the presence of militants in Samno village, commenced on Thursday evening. Although initial contact was made between the forces and the militants, the operation was temporarily suspended overnight. However, today, the engagement between the two sides intensified, resulting in the successful killing of the militants, reports said.(KNB)
