Srinagar 06 February (KNB): Gulmarg Battalion of Indian Army on Saturday organised the first day of Gulmarg Winter Festival 2021 at Golf Club in association with JK Tourism, JKTDC, JKP, Civ adm, Gondola and Hotel Association Gulmarg.
The event was graced by the presence of GOC Dagger Division, GOC Pir Panjal Brigade, along with other esteemed civil dignitaries. Locals gathered in huge numbers to participate & witness the exciting event. Tourists, ski enthusiasts, local vendors and people from nearby villages also visited the thrilling event.
The event started with GOC Dagger Division flagging off the ATV Race and interacting with the media.
However, several exhilarating snow sports activities like ski race, snowboarding race and snow cycling race were also conducted. The winners will be awarded with cash prizes and mementos on the 2nd day of the event, while all participants will be given certificates.
While cultural and musical programmes were also conducted which included Kashmiri dance, singing by local celebrity sensations and several other exciting events. (KNB)
