Srinagar 29 September (KNB): At least three to four furniture shops gutted in a fire in Central Kashmir Srinagar’s Baba Demb area on Wednesday morning.
One of the owners of the shops said that the fire had probably emerged from behind the shops where another furniture factory was. He said that all the furniture including beds, sofas and others have been gutted in the fire.
“All the beds, sofas, and other paraphernalia which was in the shops have been totally gutted in the fire,” said a worker, who was working in one of the shops, adding that at least three big shops have been damaged in the fire.
However, as the fire is said to have started in the wee hours of the morning, the same was later doused by the fire tenders after reaching the spot of incident. (KNB)
