Farooq Abdullah Urges Government to Promote Peace in Palestine, Citing Injustice and Humanitarian Crisis

Srinagar 03 Nov(KNB): Former Chief Minister and President National Conference Farooq Abdullah addressed the ongoing crisis in Palestine, highlighting the pressing need for attention and action.

He emphasized that while Ukraine is a global concern, why not Palestine, particularly children were killed and dire conditions, cannot be overlooked.

Abdullah expressed his concern over the severe lack of access to essential resources like medicine and electricity, water which has caused immense suffering in Palestine. He urged Government to step forward and play a pivotal role in bringing peace to the region, invoking the timeless vision of Mahatma Gandhi.

Furthermore, Abdullah clarified that the meeting was not related to the PAGD (People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration) but rather an opportunity to reconnect with former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti after an extended period of separation.

The call for peace and justice in Palestine remains a critical issue, and Abdullah’s words serve as a reminder of the importance of addressing humanitarian crises on a global scale.(KNB)
