Anantnag 17 December (KNB):Encounter broke out in Anantnag, during which one militant has been apprehended in an injured condition.
Encounter raged between militants and government forces in GundBaba area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
As per Kashmir News Bureau reports, on specific information about the presence of militants, a joint team of Police, Army’s 03 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Gundbaba.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
Confirming the same, Kashmir police tweeted, “Encounter started between terrorists & police/security forces at Gund Baba Khaleel, Anantnag today early morning. One local HM #terrorist Zaheer Abbas Lone r/o Pulwama #arrested in injured condition & shifted to hospital.”
As per the reports the injured militant has been shifted to the SMHS hospital for treatment. (KNB)
