Srinagar 27 March (KNB): Encounter broke out between militants and security forces on Saturday evening in south Kashmir Shopian’s wangam area.
As per officials the encounter started when a joint team of forces and police conducted searches in wangam area following the inputs about the presence of militants.
However, police also confirmed that one unidentified militant has been killed in the ongoing encounter.
Police in this regard tweeted that “ShopianEncounterUpdate: 01 unidentified militant killed. Operation going on. Further details shall follow.” (KNB)
