Kulgam 04 August(KNB): An Encounter broke out between militants and security forces in Hallan Manzgam area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday, officials said.
According to reports reaching to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB, on a specific input about the presence of militants, security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Hallan Manzgam.
They said, as the forces intensified searches towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the party, which was retaliated triggering an encounter.
The firing was going on when the last reports came in. (KNB)
