Srinagar 22 November (KNB): The Meteorological department Srinagar on Monday said they are expecting a light snowfall over North Kashmir this week, with dry and cold weather going to be observed till November end in J&K in general.
MeT official, in its latest update, while predicting the chances of very light snowfall over extreme north Kashmir on 25th of this month, said that the weather in whole J&K is likely to remain cold and dry until November end.
It was further said that there is no forecast of any major changes in the current weather for next two weeks in J&K.
However, the official also added that Pahalgam was the coldest station in J&K last night with -3.7 degrees Celsius temperature recorded.
Regarding the temperature in other parts of Kashmir last night, daily parameter showed that Srinagar recorded -1.6 degrees Celsius, Qazigund -2.0 degrees Celsius, Kupwara -2.9 degrees Celsius. Kokernag -1.0 degrees Celsius and Gulmarg -0.8 degrees Celsius. (KNB)
