Srinagar 12 October (KNB): Srinagar Police on Monday claimed that they have arrested a drug peddler, who intended to sell off various substances in Khanyar area of Srinagar.
“In our offensive drive against the drug trafficking network, we’ve arrested peddler namely Amir Ahmad Dar, S/o Gulzar Ahmad, R/o Tulkhan Bijbihara”, Police officials said.
Police officials said that they have recovered 20 bottles of Codeine phosphate, a banned drug, from his possession.
Locals of the area have hailed the police for doing their job and are expecting such actions against the drug menace to continue, police officials said. (KNB)
