Srinagar 24 November (KNB): A driver died when a tanker he was driving plunged into a gorge after skidding off from the road on NH-44 at the Jawahar Tunnel on Tuesday night.
According to an official, the tanker was heading towards Srinagar from Jammu and could not reach its final destination after it fell into a deep gorge on National Highway at Jawahar Tunnel, resulting in the death of its driver.
However, the deceased driver has been identified as Ishar Dass who died after he along with his vehicle rolled down into the gorge.
In the aftermath of the accident, the police have also taken up cognizance of the case. (KNB)
