Srinagar 27 August (KNB): Director Youth Services & Sports J&K, Gazanfar Ali flagged-off a contingent of Boys & girls for Sqay Martial Art training camp to be held at Doodhpathri Budgam up to 30-08-2021. The contingent was flagged off from the premises of Youth Hostel here on Friday.
As per a handout issued to Kashmir News Bureau, before flagging off the contingent of trainees, Director Sports interacted with the camp participants and passed on some valuable tips to them.
He also encouraged the participants to attend the camp with full dedication and zeal while enjoying the serene setting of famous tourist spot Doodhpathri. He further advised organizers in general and the participants in particular to keep the venue neat and clean, it said.
“:Deputy Director YSS, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Srinagar and other officials of the Department were also present at the flag-off ceremony. Tracksuits and other equipment were issued to the participants by the organizers before the formal flag off ceremony was conducted,” the statement added.
It further said that the camp is being organized by DYS&S in collaboration with Sqay Martial Art Association J&K as a special event on the eve of National Sports day being observed nationwide on 29th of August every year. (KNB)
