Srinagar 17 June (KNB): India reported 37,566 daily new novel coronavirus infections, which is less than 40,000 after 102 days, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Tuesday.
As per the morning update from the Health Ministry, 907 deaths were reported due the deadly virus in the last 24 hours, which is the lowest in 77 days and has remained below 1000 for the second straight day.
The Covid-19 case tally of the country now stands at 30,316,897 and the toll fatalities due to the virus has reached 397,637.
Moreover, the Health Ministry said that there have been 2,93,66,601 total recoveries across the country so far and 56,994 patients recovered during the last 24 hours.
As per the Health Ministry, the testing capacity has been substantially ramped up and a total of 40.81 crore tests have been conducted.
32.90 Cr. Vaccine Doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive, they added.
India’s Active Caseload has declined to 5,52,659 and active cases constitute 1.82% of total cases. Daily recoveries continue to outnumber the daily new cases for the 47th consecutive day, as per the Health Ministry.
Recovery Rate has increases to 96.87 per cent, where as weekly positivity Rate remains below 5 per cent and stands currently at 2.74 per cent. Daily positivity rate stands at 2.12 per cent, which is less than 5 per cent for 22 consecutive days, as per the MoHFW. (KNB)
