Srinagar, August 14(KNB): Director General of Police (DGP) J&K, Shri Nalin Prabhat, along with IGP Kashmir Shri V.K. Birdi, SSP Srinagar Dr G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy and other jurisdictional officers, conducted a late-night ground review of security arrangements across Srinagar ahead of Independence Day.
During the review, the DGP inspected naka points, security deployments and arrangements at Bakshi Stadium, the main venue for the Independence Day celebrations.
He also interacted with personnel deployed on the ground and assessed the overall security preparedness. The DGP briefed the personnel and directed them to maintain heightened alertness, ensure effective coordination and put in place robust security measures to ensure a safe and secure Independence Day.
Officers were also directed to maintain close coordination and remain vigilant throughout the celebrations.(KNB)
